One of the mandate strategies of ARMTI is information dissemination and for this we organise conferences, seminars, and workshops. ARMTI has had to put in place adequate and modern facilities for this service. For ease of coordination a Conference Services Unit charged with interfacing with external users of our facilities for such activities as conferences, seminars, workshops, talk-shops, Annual General Meetings, Corporate Planning Retreats, etc. All facilities described herein are therefore available for public use at very moderate charges.

There is a sports complex on the campus for use by staff and resident participants. The complex houses the following facilities:
  • Lawn Tennis: Two (2) Standard Courts; Racquets and Tennis Balls are available for use for a token fee (maintenance charge).
  • Badminton: Two (2) Standard Court; Racquets and Shuttles available on same terms as tennis equipment.
  • Volley Ball: Two (2) Standard Courts and Balls.
  • Basket Ball: Two (2) Standard Courts and Balls.
  • Indoor Games: Table Tennis, Dart, Whot (Cards), Ludo, Snake and Ladder, etc.

There is a well-stocked Bar located in a spacious and cosy part of the Commons (Garnet Brown Building), with video and television viewing facilities. The television, like the ones in the hostel rooms, is linked to the satellite system that allows viewers to watch international programmes.

  • A big bus conveys staff and participants (at slack periods) to and from the City Centre (Campus and Ilorin City Centre), during working hours. At weekends and during holidays, the same bus shuttles between the Campus and the City Centre at regular intervals, serving Campus Residents and Participants.
Health Clinic:
  • ARMTI's Health Clinic is staffed by very experienced nursing sisters and with an arrangement for medical doctors to visit regularly. There are retained hospitals in the City and a working relationship with the University Teaching Hospital. Participants and staff are served by the clinic.
  • The Security personnel maintains 24-hour watch on the Campus. In addition Police special security is engaged in the night. However, clients are advised to contribute to the total security of life and property on the Campus by taking adequate care of their property and life. This calls for dual or multi responsibilities.
Postal Agency:
  • Located in the Administrative Building, the Post Agency provides minimum postal services but can assist transact other postal businesses at the General Post Office.
Auxiliary Services
  • ARMTI Nursery/Primary School: Because of its location away from the city centre the Institute has had to establish a nursery/primary school for the children and wards of its staff. The school which has turned out thousands of pupils since inception in 1988 is reputed for its high standard and ranks high amongst the best rated schools in the country.

In ARMTI, the participant is king. ARMTI facilities, organisation and culture are built around the provision of optimum service to our participants (in all facets).
To facilitate this a participant's welfare officer is assigned. Apart from this every ARMTI Staff is a potential 'waiter ' on participants.
In ARMTI we recognize two major categories of participants' needs :-

Training needs:
  • These are satisfied by our courses which are based on needs study, and are therefore, practical and problem-solving.
Social needs:
  • These are satisfied by our facilities which include health care and catering services, as well as ,a wide range of in-door and out-door recreational and sporting activities. Apart from this ARMTI participants are also taken on educational visits and tours to historical places and tourist attractions within and outside Kwara State.
